Asfari - Skills for Success: Employability & Entrepreneurship

The project seeks to enable the 40 participants to pursue decent work and a path of meaningful employment by providing a program combining intensive personal development, professional skills training, and career guidance. The participants will also perform community service activities that will benefit up to 600 additional young people.

The program offers more than 275 hours of training, divided into three phases.

Skills for Success allows unemployed youth and people with disabilities to gain the necessary skills to improve their ability to access employment and other economic opportunities. Young women in particular are encouraged to apply. This partnership between MEPI and Amideast has three primary objectives:

Employability Skills

Working with international and regional partners, Amideast offers programs tailored to meet the needs of young men and women for skills training that enables them to transcend the hurdles to unemployment in the competitive MENA region job markets. These programs utilize Amideast's Skills for Success® curriculum, designed to help recent graduates gain English language and other transferable skills that are valued in sectors of the region's economy that are linked to global trade.

FEATURED PROGRAMS

Skills for Success® - U.S. Consulate General Alexandria

Amideast is pleased to announce the Skills for Success® program for unemployed Egyptian university/institute graduates. The program is administered by Amideast and sponsored by the U.S. Consulate in Alexandria. The program will prepare unemployed youth for the workforce through the provision of training in the areas of business English, computer skills, integrated skills for the workplace, and career building and planning.

The program duration is two months
