The program's curriculum develops computational, creative, and critical thinking skills in youth, preparing them to become change agents in their communities. YouthCode will further the innovative approach to technology education previously provided through Code for Palestine, which Code.X offered in partnership with PalTel Group Foundation from 2015 to 2022, graduating 300+ Palestinian youth who now constitute a sustainable community of young tech leaders and creators in Palestine.

Program Description:

This program develops participants' oral, written, and digital communication skills to enable them to communicate more effectively and confidently in English. Amideast aims to achieve this goal through actively engaging participants in intercultural group work and project-based learning on themed topics related to American culture, values, society, and current issues.

Target Audience:

This program provides participants with the English language skills essential for effective communication in journalism and media, while also fostering a deeper understanding of journalism's role in Palestinian society. It encourages participants to critically reflect on local media perceptions and introduces them to the core values and practices of American and international journalism. By focusing on media literacy and content creation, participants develop the skills to produce informed, compelling stories that have local and global relevance.

Start Your Own Business is a 60- hour virtual training program to help young entrepreneurs develop and implement their business plans. Each 45-hour "Start Your Own Business" program provides the confidence that comes from thinking through key factors to ensure business growth and long-term success. Participants also receive 15 hours of individualized support and dedicated one-on-one coaching. The program connects participants to a network of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and experts motivated to help them succeed.

Amideast is offering an ONLINE TOEFL iBT test preparation course for highly motivated participants looking to apply to international colleges in the near future.

This 30-hour course designed to prepare students with the necessary information and skills in taking this high stakes English language proficiency exam. The course focuses on skill building for each section of the test. Students will be fully prepared to understand the following:

Amideast is offering a 30-hour SAT test preparation course for highly motivated high school students applying to colleges in the U.S.

Training Delivery

The course runs twice a week in person.

• Currently a high school student
• Excellent English language skills

THE PROGRAM

The English for Media and Journalism training funded by America House and the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs, targets fresh graduates and entry-level professionals seeking careers in modern media and journalism.

THE PROGRAM

The American English Scholarship Program (AESP) is a 120-hour program funded by America House and the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs. The course focuses on developing participants’ English language proficiency focusing on 21st-century, communication, presentation, and business correspondence skills needed to advance in the workplace. Session topics focus on developing the participants' general English language targeting the four language skills, speaking, writing, listening and reading.
