The program draws a clear connection between Morocco’s current generation of 18 - 25 year olds, and their ability to shape their future in ways that are sustainable and address current environmental challenges.

HSBC/Amideast Program — Future Pathways: Careers & Opportunities

Future Pathways Careers & Opportunities entails a series of three speaker events that will introduce you to various industries and employment pathways in the private sector. The program will also raise your awareness of the skills necessary to perform different job functions and increase students’ knowledge of the various career paths they can start upon graduation.

Skills to Careers Initiative for Women

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on all corners of Jordanian society. Economic participation of women in the Jordanian economy hovered at a mere 14.9% in March 2020, and post-pandemic statistics indicate that the effects of the pandemic will represent a significant step back for women in the workplace in Jordan.

As businesses resume near-normal operations and children return to schools, many women who were employed prior to the pandemic will find an uphill climb to returning to the labor market, and some will not return at all.

ASPIRE INTERNSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM

The Aspire Internship Training Program is a competitive workforce skills-development program for Yemeni youth funded by the U.S. Embassy to Yemen and administered by Amideast. This program, which began summer of 2021 and will continue through the winter of 2023, targets recent university graduates in Aden. The program includes the following main outputs:

SKILLS FOR TOMORROW

Skills for Tomorrow (SFT) is a two-year program designed to equip Libyan youth between the age 13-15 years old with the language, leadership, computer and essential soft skills they need to access scholarships and study abroad opportunities, compete in global job markets, and engage in civic life with confidence and self-awareness.

English & Academic Preparation Program

Supported through UNICEF Jordan, Amideast is providing English language and digital literacy skills for 480 Syrian youth ages 16-24 in Azraq refugee camp. Each student receives 80 hours of English language education coupled with sessions on preparing applications for university scholarships, creating a CV, and developing writing skills for cover letters for employment or university applications.
