AMIDEAST Education Abroad Programs in the Arab World help develop mutual understanding through programs for young people to study the Middle East and North Africa, improve their Arabic language skills, and interact with the peoples and cultures of the region, especially local families, organizations, and students.
THE AMIDEAST ADVANTAGE. AMIDEAST’s longstanding presence in the Middle East and North Africa means that students benefit from the organization’s extensive experience, strong regional connections, and deep understanding of local culture AMIDEAST Education Abroad Programs provide students wide-ranging opportunities to gain the most from intercultural encounters on semester, academic year, short-term, and summer study abroad experiences in Arab countries.
 
AMIDEAST EDUCATION ABROAD. Our programs help develop mutual understanding between peoples of the MENA region and students from US universities by providing study opportunities in the MENA region. Students interact with local university faculty members, students, host families, and other locals to develop intercultural and global competence. AMIDEAST provides living and learning environments that are academically rigorous and challenging, intellectually stimulating, and intercultural open and accepting.
 
CORE PRINCIPLES. Our program are student centered and have an emphasis on Arabic language acquisition. They are intended to develop knowledge of the host country and region and designed to maximize exposure to the host culture. We are dedicated to intercultural sensitivity and global competence. Our programs are regularly reviewed by an Academic Consortium of US colleges and universities for quality assurance. We have a diverse student cohort and our host country staff promotes interaction with the host society.
