Young Learners (6 – 14 years)

Amideast’s English language courses give young learners an early start on the road to becoming proficient, confident users of English, able to take advantage of educational and career opportunities. Our approach provides kids of different ages and levels the opportunity to explore and experience the language with their classmates, as they develop all four language skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing). Our dedicated teachers provide students with fun, interactive language practice using age-appropriate materials in a safe learning environment.

AMIDEAST YOUNG ELEMENTARY (YE) PROGRAM

YE1

Pre-A1

An introduction to English with real-world stories, pictures, and activities. Speaking activities are a real focus.

YE2

Pre-A1

Students continue their English journey with more real-life exercises. Each lesson introduces new vocabulary and phonics.

YE3

A1

Students travel the world, developing their language. Each lesson explores new structures and small group opportunities.

YE4

A1

Students gain confidence in their English language use, both in accuracy and fluency.

AMIDEAST YOUNG LEARNER (YL) PROGRAM

Ages 10 to 14 years old

YL1A

A1

A beginner course that introduces basic grammar structures, the alphabet, numbers, and basic question forms. Topics include school, home life, and neighborhoods.

YL1B

A1

Themes center around family, geography and teen time while introducing the structure of “Be” in statements and questions forms, prepositions of place, and demonstratives.

YL2A

A1

Students will learn about negative sentences, yes/no questions, and time. Themes include sports, our lives, and personal interests.

YL2B

A1

Present Continuous in statements and negative and interrogative forms are centered around themes of favorite activities, food, and the natural world.

YL3A

A2

Simple Past and comparative adjectives are the grammar focus of this level in the context of school life, free time, and travel.

YL3B

A2

Health, special events, and city life introduce the future tenses, as well as clauses with "because" and "when" and modal verbs.

YL4A

B1

Simple Past, Past Continuous, Future Tenses and expressing preferences are outlined in the themes of personal life, one's future, and people.

YL4B

B1

The themes of entertainment, experiences, and dreams and reality set the scene for developing more complex structures such as Present Perfect, superlative forms, and conditionals.
