High School & Younger

AMIDEAST supports scholarship and exchange programs for youth in grades K-12 who seek to improve their English proficiency, build foundational skills, develop their leadership potential, and learn about American culture. For disadvantaged students, our programs serve as a ladder of opportunity, paving the way for future educational and career opportunities.

Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program

Students on the YES program spend an academic year in the United States, living with host families, attending high schools, engaging in activities to learn about American society and values, and helping educate Americans about their countries and cultures.

English Access Microscholarship (Access) Program

The Access Program provides a foundation of English language skills to economically disadvantaged youth through after-school classes and intensive sessions, improving their prospects for job and education.
