DIANA KAMAL SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH FUND (DKSSF)

Amideast/Jordan is pleased to offer the unique opportunity for highly-qualified students to receive assistance in identifying a scholarship for a bachelor’s degree at an institution in North America or in-region!

About the DKSSF

Amideast’s own Diana Kamal Scholarship Search Fund (DKSSF) makes the dream of study in the United States possible for highly qualified Arab students from underserved populations in the Middle East and North Africa. Through this initiative, Amideast is able to identify students of exceptional accomplishment and promise who wish to pursue undergraduate study at an American college or university, but cannot afford to do so. The resources in this special fund then enable Amideast to provide the services that assist several candidates each year to apply and qualify for four-year scholarships to select U.S. institutions of higher learning

How It Works

Amideast staff work with the nominated candidates to apply to up to four prestigious institutions in North America or in-region; if the student is accepted, the institution will provide the scholarship that covers tuition and fees. Nominated students will be expected to help cover living expenses and other miscellaneous costs.

Program Components

Amideast will provide students with the following range of educational advising, test preparation and testing services to improve his/her profile to be competitive enough to get accepted into U.S. universities:

  • Educational advising and counseling of students throughout the application process to U.S. universities

  • Test preparation courses for TOEFL iBT® and SAT®

  • Payment of TOEFL® and SAT® test fees and score reports

  • Payment of college application fees

  • Students who win acceptance to U.S. universities may also receive funding for expenses that are not covered by their university’s scholarship
