World of English Language Learners (WELL)

Program Description:

This program develops participants' oral, written, and digital communication skills to enable them to communicate more effectively and confidently in English. Amideast aims to achieve this goal through actively engaging participants in intercultural group work and project-based learning on themed topics related to American culture, values, society, and current issues.

English for Journalism & Media Literacy

This program provides participants with the English language skills essential for effective communication in journalism and media, while also fostering a deeper understanding of journalism's role in Palestinian society. It encourages participants to critically reflect on local media perceptions and introduces them to the core values and practices of American and international journalism. By focusing on media literacy and content creation, participants develop the skills to produce informed, compelling stories that have local and global relevance.

American English Scholarship Program (AESP)

THE PROGRAM

The American English Scholarship Program (AESP) is a 120-hour program funded by America House and the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs. The course focuses on developing participants’ English language proficiency focusing on 21st-century, communication, presentation, and business correspondence skills needed to advance in the workplace. Session topics focus on developing the participants' general English language targeting the four language skills, speaking, writing, listening and reading.
