Why TOEIC®?

The TOEIC® family of tests are trusted by businesses, academic institutions, and training programs to assess English skills for workplace success. Two versions of the test allow companies to test for different levels of English based on workplace requirements. Organizations can screen potential hires as well as test skills to determine training needs of current employees. Test questions are based on workplace situations, providing valuable insight for employers and educators preparing students for future employment.

Test options include the TOEIC® 4 Skills test (except in the U.S.), the TOEIC® Multi-Stage Adaptive Test, the TOEIC® Listening and Reading test, the TOEIC® Speaking and Writing test, as well as the TOEIC® Bridge test for beginner to low-intermediate English learners.

All tests are available in online versions, and all are mapped to the CEFR.

TOEIC Listening and Reading

For 35 years, organizations have trusted the TOEIC® program to assess English-language ability in the workplace. Designed for intermediate to advanced English learners, TOEIC® Listening and Reading test is a practical and reliable measure of English comprehension in real-life work situations. The TOEIC® Listening and Reading test is a valuable tool for managers and HR personnel to screen potential hires, as well as to guide employee training. Educational institutions and English training programs can ensure that their students are ready to enter the job market or advance their careers.

The TOEIC® Listening and Reading test takes about 2 hours to complete and measures English on the CEFR scale from 30 to 495, and is available online or on paper.

TOEIC Speaking and Writing

For 35 years, organizations have trusted the TOEIC® program to assess English-language ability the workplace. Designed for intermediate to advanced English learners, TOEIC® Speaking and Writing test scores can guide businesses and government organizations in management and training decisions. By using the test to measure progress, educational institutions and English training programs can ensure that their students are ready to enter the job market or advance their careers.

The TOEIC® Speaking and Writing tests can be taken individually or together. The Speaking test contains 11 questions and takes about 20 minutes to complete. The Writing test contains eight questions and requires about 60 minutes to complete.

The TOEIC® Speaking and Writing test which is a computer-based test, takes about 2 hours to complete and measures English on the CEFR scale from 30 to 495.

TOEIC Bridge

Worldwide, the TOEIC® Bridge test is trusted by businesses, academic institutions, and training programs as a measure of English communication skills for the workplace. Designed for beginner and lower-intermediate English learners, TOEIC® Bridge test questions are written with real-life work scenarios in mind. The TOEIC® Bridge scores help test-takers to show academic or workplace readiness, as well as helping to guide further language-learning goals.

The TOEIC® Bridge takes one hour and provide information on the CEFR scale from 10 to 90. The test is available online or on paper and may be scheduled at the organization’s convenience.
