Ms. Elisabeth Dahl joined Amideast in 2006. In her current role as Senior Director of Business Development, she leads the proposal development process for Amideast’s HQ and field offices. In this role, she leads Amideast’s Business Development efforts and processes across Headquarters and Amideast’s eleven field offices.
Previously she served in Business Development roles at Amideast and CARANA Corporation, K&M Engineering, and PADCO, Inc., focusing on United States government, donor, and private sector work.
Dr. Elena Corbett serves as Amideast’s Senior Director of Academic Engagements and has oversight of Amideast’s Education Abroad department, which develops and implements all aspects of academic and experiential programming and support for US students and educators seeking opportunities to learn in the MENA region. She leads the team responsible for Amideast’s programming, customized and faculty-led programming for institutional clients, and implementation of the US State Department’s National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) and Kennedy-Lugar YES Abroad programs. Dr.
Ms. Serena Boustany serves as the Controller of Amideast, overseeing the accounting department including financial reporting, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management.
She joined Amideast in 2015, bringing 15 years of experience in the nonprofit world. Before entering the nonprofit sector, she worked for QinetiQ North America, serving as a senior program finance/budget analyst. she also worked in Lebanon for Arab Business Solution where she was the head of accounting.

Mr. James T. Grabowski serves as Amideast's Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, he is responsible overseeing and optimizing Amideast’s day-to-day operations and for leading technology-driven efficiency, growth, and profitability. He devises strategies for Amideast’s growth and success and turns them into actionable plans and initiatives.
Mr. Vincent V. DeSomma serves as Amideast’s Vice President of Development and External Engagement, overseeing a dedicated new business team and Amideast’s strategic communications, advancement, and disability inclusion operations. He works closely with Amideast’s other executives and senior managers to develop new programs and pursue opportunities with U.S. Government agencies as well as private funders and multilateral donors. As a member of Amideast’s Senior Leadership Team, Mr. DeSomma applies his experience leading strategies for effective programming with the U.S.
Ms. Debby Blazquez has served as the Vice President of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer since 2018. She currently manages the following teams: Accounting and Finance, Contracts and Grants, Information Technology, Financial Planning and Analysis, Internal Audit, and Risk Management, Assets and Facilities.
Ms. Dena H. Elkhatib is the executive director of the King Salman Park Foundation, Kingdom of Saudia Arabia.. She is a transactional lawyer with over 20 years of experience and a specialty in high-value transactions in various sectors, including banking and aviation. Her experiences include aircraft portfolio acquisition/sales, finance/operating leases, debt financing, and restructuring transactions.
Ambassador (ret.) Deborah K. Jones retired from the U.S. Department of State in November 2016 with the rank of Career Minister following 34 years of service. Her last assignment was as Deputy Commandant/International Affairs Advisor at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy (formerly ICAF) of the National Defense University from October 2015 to November 2016, following her appointment as U.S. Ambassador to Libya from June 2013 until September 2015. She served as Scholar-in-Residence at the Middle East Institute from August 2012 to March 2013.
