The Fulbright Program encourages all egilible and qualified applicants, including those with disabilities, to apply. Fulbright awards are merit-based, and Fulbright participants, who represent the best and brightest of U.S. society and of societies abroad, are chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential.  

Long-Term English programs (LTE) are also available for students who need to mprove their English proficiency score and increase chances of receiving admission at a U.S. university.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

A competitive applicant should hold a U.S.-equivalent bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, have a strong academic background, proficiency in English or able to attend a LTE program prior to the start of their academic program, and the commitment to return to their country or territory of nomination upon completion of the program. Preference is given to applicants who have little or no previous experience studying or living in the United States.  

Applicants may apply for most fields of study, including the humanities, social sciences, science, technology, and engineering.  However, programs involving clinical studies, such as medicine and nursing, are not permitted.  Non-clinical programs, such as public health and nursing administration, are permitted.
