Director of Finance

As Director of Finance, Rashid Khalfallah manages the regional finance function and overseeing the work of the field accounting staff to ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing of financial transactions and effective controls that prevent or timely detect errors and fraud. In addition, he is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Amideast’s annual budget and periodic forecasting and providing critical analysis that supports major corporate decisions of the CFO, Senior Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors. Mr. Khalfallah also provides financial monitoring, trend analysis and reporting that includes budget fluctuations.

Before joining Amideast, he spent 10 years serving a broad spectrum of publicly held and privately owned firms as an assurance manager at Ernst & Young (EY) and RSM, and as an audit staff at BDO Seidman (BDO). A solutions-oriented leader, Mr. Khalfallah has worked with large and small US nonprofit organizations on complex issues in accounting, auditing, and risk, and traveled to attend to regulatory matters. He has significant international experience, having lived in Tunisia for 32 years and having traveled to most of Amideast’s field offices to support their teams.

Mr. Khalfallah is a CPA and maintains his Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Tunis, an accounting career certificate from the Northern Virginia Community College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in accounting from the Western Governors University.
