Promoting Female Equity and Empowerment

In 2022, we helped 1,550 women and girls enhance their education and career potential through special programs that:

  • Raised awareness of STEM skills and career options among 360 young Jordanian women and female Syrian refugees in Jordan .
  • Enhanced the employability of more than 800 unemployed Moroccan women through skills training combined with coaching and other support, ensuring a high job-placement rate.
  • Advanced the English proficiency of 50 Yemeni women living in Yemen and Saudi Arabia, increasing their qualifications for academic and career pursuits.
  • Furthered the career development prospects of 120 Kuwaiti women by strengthening their professional and workplace competencies and job performance.
  • Prepared 90 Jordanian women to re-enter the labor market following the pandemic through English language and soft skills training.
  • Improved the ability of 80 Jordanian and Syrian women jobseekers, primarily from Jordan’s severely affected tourism and hospitality sectors, to access employment opportunities in the private sector.
  • Developed skills in interactive teaching and learning methodologies and the integration of technology in the classroom among more than 50 female public-school teachers from underserved and low-income areas across Greater Cairo, in support of Egypt’s New Curriculum.

We are grateful to the U.S. Department of State, the Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Morocco’s Initiative Nationale pour le Développement Human (INDH), the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD), the Boeing Company, and other partners for making our work in this area possible.
