SAT® Test

The SAT® test is the most common globally-recognized college admissions test. Your SAT test scores allow you to get accepted into undergraduate programs by demonstrating your knowledge in areas key to academic success: reading, writing and language, and math. All U.S. colleges and universities accept SAT scores during their admissions process.

The SAT test is offered only in digital format and on fixed dates. Plan to register early as test centers sometimes fill, and allow yourself time to re-test if you are not satisfied with your results.

The SAT® test is a digital test that takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes, primarily involving multiple-choice questions. The test is taken in test centers. Most test takers bring their own laptops to take the test, but you can also request to borrow a device. If you need to borrow a device to take the SAT test, be sure to request a device when you register online at least 30 days before the test date. Find more information on device lending here.

Scores will be provided online and mailed to the institutions you requested when you registered. If you need a paper score report for your own use, be sure to request it when you register. Amideast is not involved in score issuance; for questions on missing scores or to request additional score reports, please contact the College Board.
