What is the SAT?
The SAT is a widely used college entrance exam in the United States that measures skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. It helps universities evaluate students’ readiness for academic work. Learn more about the SAT on the College Board website. https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat

All U.S. colleges and universities accept SAT scores during their admissions process.

The SAT test is offered only in digital format and on fixed dates. Plan to register early as test centers sometimes fill, and allow yourself time to re-test if you are not satisfied with your results.

How can I change my SAT registration?

Can I request a device for the digital SAT?
Yes. If you do not have a device, the College Board may be able to lend you one. Requests must be made at least 30 days in advance when you register.   


What time should I arrive on test day?
Test centers open at 7:45 a.m., and doors close at 8:00 a.m. Arriving early helps you avoid stress. If you were approved to borrow a device, arrive 30 minutes earlier. 


What should I bring to the test center?
Bring your fully charged device with the Bluebook app installed, your printed admission ticket, acceptable photo ID, pencils/pens, and an approved calculator. Optional items include snacks and water for breaks. https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/what-to-bring-do/what-to-bring


Do I need to download an app for the digital SAT?
Yes. The Bluebook™ app is required to take the SAT. It’s free and works on Windows, Mac, iPad, and some Chromebooks. https://bluebook.collegeboard.org/


What is Bluebook?
Bluebook is the College Board’s testing app for the digital SAT and other exams. It’s where you access your admission ticket, take practice tests, and complete the exam. https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/digital/bluebook


I can’t download Bluebook. What should I do?
Check your device meets the technical requirements and that you have permission to install apps. If you use a school-managed device, contact your school’s IT staff. https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/digital/technical-requirements


Does my device need to be fully charged?
Yes. Your device must last 3–4 hours. Bring a charger or portable power bank in case you need extra battery during breaks.


When will I get my SAT scores?
SAT scores are usually available 2–4 weeks after your test date. You can view them in your College Board account once they are released: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/scores

SAT verification at Amideast Erbil office:

Amideast doesn’t do the equalization for the SAT scores, but provides SAT Verification Services.

Amideast/Iraq in coordination with the Ministry of Education in Erbil, College Board and Educational Testing Services (ETS) verifies official SAT score reports. Test-takers are encouraged to list Amideast as a score recipient by entering Amideast’s DI or institutional code: 5027 when registering for the test, for Amideast to be able to receive your scores for future necessary verification in our offices. Otherwise, the test-taker will be required to provide Amideast with online access to their SAT account to let Amideast staff proceed with the verification process.

The test-takers are encouraged to plan ahead to request the service and then plan to pick up the verified score report. The verified score reports will be ready for collection within 48 hours or on the same day of request if possible. Amideast at the discretion of the testing staff may expedite verification of SAT score reports. The Test takers will be notified via phone when their verified score reports are ready for pick up.
 

Amideast doesn’t currently do AP verifications, as there is no local need for it by the Ministry of Education. However, Amideast is willingly serving the needs of test-takers who seek an AP verification for other purposes.

 

Requirements for SAT Score Verification at Amideast Erbil Office:

  1. If the test-taker has already listed amideast as a score recipient using Amideast’s institutional code: 5027 during registration prior to test taking, then the student only needs to request the verification service via phone and schedule an appointment for the pick up.
  2. If you plan to have your SAT test score verified by Amideast, be sure to request a copy of your score to be sent to Amideast’s institutional code of 5027.
  3. Payment in IQD and in cash: 25,000 Iraqi Dinars for a single copy. Additional 5,000 IQD per each additional copy
