ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Are you a Palestinian student planning to pursue a Master’s or PhD at an SGFP eligible university in the U.S. or U.K.? The Sousou Graduate Fellows Program (SGFP) could be the opportunity you need!
Established through the generous support of Ramez and Tiziana Sousou, SGFP provides supplemental financial aid to exceptional Palestinian students in Palestine and the diaspora pursuing graduate studies at top-tier universities in the United States and the United Kingdom.
If you receive a fall 2026 admission at an SGFP eligible university in the U.S. or U.K. but are unable to accept the offer without additional financial assistance, the SGFP can help. The program offers up to $40,000 per year for two years in matching or need-based financial aid to help you achieve your academic dreams.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate financial need and come from a low-income background.
- Have secured a fall 2026 admission at an SGFP eligible university in the U.S. or U.K. (Click HERE to view the complete list of eligible institutions).
- Show academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to positive contributions to Palestine and beyond.
- Holds a Palestinian or Jerusalem ID (dual citizens are eligible to apply)
- Residents of the West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza are encouraged to apply.
- Be eligible to obtain a student visa for the U.S. or the UK.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Please prepare the following documents before you start completing your application as you will have to upload copies of them before you are able to submit the online application.
- Official university admission letter and financial aid offer/scholarship from the university
- Official university cost breakdown
- Report and documentation for any scholarships or financial awards received from organizations or institutions outside the university that will be used to support your intended studies
- Copy of your passport (all)
- Copy of your Palestinian or Jerusalem ID card
- Supporting financial documents/proof of income (salary slip/letter of employment indicating your monthly or annual income)
- Bank statement to verify the information provided in your application regarding personal or family contributions toward the cost of your studies.
- Proof of any financial assistance or scholarship you received in previous educational levels
