Teach English

The 120-hour program is intended for current and aspiring teachers who are proficient English speakers, with little or no teaching background, as well as for experienced teachers who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills based on the latest language teaching methodologies and emerging trends in the field.

EducationUSA Competitive College Club

Who can join?

The CCC is open to students in grades 10-11 with a minimum score of 80% or 16/20 in each of the last three years. Students must attend all meetings — bimonthly during the school year and daily during summer. Absences must be requested from and approved by the educational adviser. Students will sign a contract detailing their responsibilities and confirming they have indeed understood them.

Technical Skills

OUR APPROACH

Amideast courses and workshops are taught by experienced trainers who provide opportunities for hands-on practice and application of skills to real-life situations ― the kind of training that leads to success on certification exams. You will benefit from industry-specific examples through presentations, exercises, and class discussions.

U For Youth

OVERVIEW

Since its launch in 2010 as part of the bank’s U for Youth program, we have joined forces to provide professional development opportunities to young adults ages 18 - 25. Through Bank of Beirut’s U for Youth program, Amideast delivers skills-training workshops that address the different professional development needs faced by Lebanese youth throughout their early career stages. With these skills, university students, fresh graduates, and young professionals will be able to competently enter the workforce and gain a competitive edge in the job market.

MENA Scholarship Support Fund (MSSF)

About the MSSF

Amideast's MENA Scholarship Support Fund (MSSF) enables highly qualified students from underserved communities in Lebanon to pursue undergraduate study in the United States. Through this program, Amideast identifies exceptional students who demonstrate promise but lack the financial means to attend an American college or university.

MSSF provides support to students admitted to U.S. colleges and universities with generous financial aid packages by closing the gap in cost of attendance.

Hope Fund

ABOUT THE HOPE FUND

The Hope Fund is dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of deserving Palestinian youth—many from refugee backgrounds—for a higher education that will realize their academic potential.

Through this initiative, Amideast is able to identify students of exceptional accomplishment and promise who wish to pursue their undergraduate studies at an American college or university but cannot afford to do so.

The Hope Fund program provides support for expenses like application fees, testing fees, and essay writing.
