IExChange 2020

Calling all USG program alumni for a new event opportunity!

Are you an alumnus/a of a US Government funded exchange program? Do you have a story to tell? Now is your chance! Some of your fellow USG alumni won a Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund grant to run an exciting new event - the IExChange 2020 - and you're invited to apply to be a speaker! More information is included below from the organizers, and you can find all the details on the IExChange 2020 website.

From the organizers:

"IExChange2020 is a brand-new conference series aimed at highlighting the narratives of international education exchange alumni. We are specifically interested in learning how these programs have played a pivotal role in helping you achieve your personal and/or professional ambitions. If you think you have what it takes to inspire the next generation of citizen diplomats to participate in U.S. government-funded international education programs, apply to become a speaker!"

Their website explains further:

"IExChange is a day long celebration of the value of international education exchange programs through a TEDx style conference in Washington D.C. in late April/early May 2020.

  • Speakers will share personal narratives and anecdotes of how, specifically, their international exchange experience empowered them to achieve their own personal and professional ambitions.
  • Attendees will sign up for break-out sessions, seminars, and workshops on better application writing, programmatic partnership development, and career planning, among others.
  • Study abroad offices and representatives from more than 100 universities across the country will be given exclusive access to organize viewing parties and watch this conference live via video streaming.

Our goal in collecting and sharing these stories is to demonstrate how you too can translate your international experience into meaningful insight and action."
