In partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO), Amideast is developing the skills and training capacity of 30 Career Guidance Counselors working in ILO’s 14 Employment Centers across the Kingdom and in Zaatari and Azraq refugee camps in support of the ILO Jordan’s 2022 Decent Country Work Programme.

Amideast, with support from the U.S. Embassy in Jordan, is delivering its first round of completely FREE to join online English training courses focused on professionals working in Jordan’s media and journalism fields.

Project DPro supplies project managers with the right set of skills to deliver successful and beneficial results to donors and communities. The Project DPro courses and certifications are standout professional credentials in the development field and help project managers, coordinators, specialists, and officers adopt a shared strategy and framework in their approach to development.

Amideast is an authorized training partner for PM4NGOs and facilitates testing for the PMD Pro 1, 2 and PgMD exams, which candidates may register to take following the course.

THE PROGRAM

Students participate in around 280 hours of English language instruction and 80 hours of extracurricular activities, including additional workshops that introduce the youth to American culture, community issues, service learning, and career enhancement resources. The English language curriculum strengthens speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills. Additional activities may include guest speakers, relevant cultural field trips within Jordan (such as films, exhibitions and concerts), and visits to different organizations for enriching workshops.
