For over 50 years, AMIDEAST has played a vital role in facilitating educational programs between the United States and Yemen. Our activities date back to 1952 when we began administering our first scholarship program for Yemenis. Our office in Sana'a officially opened in 1981 and our second office, in Aden, followed in 1998. AMIDEAST is committed to providing the highest quality of educational and training services to the people of Yemen.
Academic and Cultural Exchange
We administer many scholarship and exchange programs for students seeking to live or study in the U.S. Our offices in Aden and Sanaa have helped more than 4,000 individuals receive training or degrees from institutions of higher learning in the United States.
AMIDEAST in Yemen provides English language classes to hundreds of students per academic term. Come see us if you need to improve your English language skills.
We partner with NGOs, government agencies, and international development donors to design and implement programs that strengthen local institutions. If you or your organization is interested in becoming a partner, please contact us.
Study in the US
We can help you learn everything you need to know about pursuing your education at American colleges or universities through our EducationUSA resources located in both our Sana'a and Aden offices.
