AMIDEAST established one of its first field offices in Baghdad, Iraq in 1953. Until its closure in 1967, in the wake of heightened regional tensions, the Baghdad office played a vital role in strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation between Americans and Iraqis and in promoting U.S. higher education. Our offices reopened in 2004.
Academic and Cultural Exchange
Since reopening our Iraq office in 1994, we have helped Iraqi students and professionals benefit from many scholarship opportunities and exchange programs between the US and Iraq.
If you need to improve your English for studies, business, or just for fun, join thousands of others in the Middle East and North Africa who are benefiting from our courses.
AMIDEAST partners with NGOs, government agencies, and international development donors to design and implement institutional strengthening programs throughout the Middle East.
