AMIDEAST President Theodore Kattouf announced the formation of an Advisory Board for AMIDEAST/Lebanon at a dinner hosted by the Lebanese Ambassador to the U.S. H.E. Antoine Chedid in Washington, D.C. on April 29, 2010. He noted that the board would be comprised of prominent Lebanese business and civic leaders who would help guide the strategy and outreach of AMIDEAST/Lebanon for the coming years.  On September 6, 2010 the new Advisory Board held its inaugural meeting in Beirut during which members reviewed the educational, training and development programs currently being conducted by AMIDEAST, and the impact these programs are having in Lebanon. Given the importance of economic growth and job creation in Lebanon, the Advisory Board pledged $60,000 to support the launching of the Cisco Entrepreneur Institute at AMIDEAST/Lebanon in order to ensure that its practical training workshops, rich resources and business networking tools are available to help the next generation of Lebanese entrepreneurs. The board pledged another $100,000 in September 2011 and $250,000 in October 2012.
