D-RASATI

Launched in October 2013, the $24.5 million USAID-funded D-Rasati 2 project built on the achievements of phase 1 (2011–13) and contributed to the implementation of Lebanon’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE)’s Education Sector Development Plan. 

Amideast worked in collaboration with World Learning to realize key objectives of the project, including bolstering processes for developing leadership of public schools and strengthening the role of extracurricular activities.

QITABI

In late September 2014, USAID awarded Quality Instruction Towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI), a $42 million grant to implement basic education services in Lebanon’s public schools over a four-year period, to Amideast, World Learning, MSI, and Ana Aqra’.

Amideast Entrepreneur Institute

The Amideast Entrepreneur Institute (AEI) seeks to advance entrepreneurship as a way of stimulating  job creation and economic growth in the Middle East and North Africa. Based in Beirut and open to those residing in the MENA region, AEI offers onsite and virtual training and other support to new and aspiring entrepreneurs as they seek to launch and grow their business ventures.  AEI's mission is to train, support, and help entrepreneurs network and build relevant business contacts.

Participants should have a strong B1 (CEFR) English language proficiency and a strong interest in improving their skills to teach the English language. Trainees are required to attend all of the sessions which is held 5 days a week.

YES PROGRAM FOR LEBANON

Overview

The Kennedy‐Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program provides scholarships for high school students to study for one academic year in the United States. YES students live with a host family, attend an American high school, acquire leadership skills, and engage in activities to learn about U.S. society and values; they also help educate Americans about their home country and culture. The program supports students with disabilities and encourages their participation.
