Testing and Sales Senior Executive

Job Description


The Testing and Sales Senior Executive represents the key point of contact between AMIDEAST UAE (nationwide) and is directly responsible for the maximization of sales for AMIDEAST’s testing products. 


The role will include working directly with the English Language Program Manager to implement an integrated EL and Testing approach; focusing on achieving UAE CMD targets by addressing the testing/English language needs for new/current anchor clients, schools and universities, foundations and government.


The Testing and Sales Senior Executive is responsible for identifying potential new clients, negotiating contracts, aiming to achieve monthly and annual targets, acting as a bridge between AMIDEAST UAE and its current market and future markets, gathering market and customer information to enable negotiations regarding variations in prices, delivery and customer specifications.


The Testing and Sales Senior Executive is responsible for increasing awareness about AMIDEAST and its services, providing immediate supervisory direction in the daily work of the Testing Supervisors in achieving testing unit goals.


Office base for this position will be in Abu Dhabi with frequent travel to Dubai office and northern emirates where business needs to grow.


Main Responsibilities


  • Understand and be able to articulate AMIDEAST's current and future product and service offerings
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness of AMIDEAST and its products and services, reaching out to audiences in the public, private, and academic sectors.
  • Develop and implement sales strategy for all testing products, with particular emphasis on the TOEFL assessment family including The TOEFL iBT® Test , The TOEFL ITP® Assessment Series, The TOEFL® Young Students Series, The TOEFL Junior® Tests  and The TOEFL® Primary™ Tests also  for the TOEIC assessment family, including the TOEIC Listening and Reading test, the TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests and the TOEIC Bridge™
  • Produce an annual business plan with quantifiable goals, for internal and external distribution.
  • Responsible for achieving the targets of the CMD agreement with ETS 2016-2018.
  • Work closely with AMIDEAST program staff to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of marketing and sales efforts and to ensure needed follow-up.
  • Maintain an updated Higher Education Institutions, universities and schools database in addition to new prospects. 
  • Visit universities, schools and other clients to maintain, grow and sustain.  Client relationship is key in this position.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients to provide ongoing customer service and ensure client retention.
  • Provide recommendations to the Country Director regarding areas of new program development.
  • Represent AMIDEAST, as needed, at conferences and exhibitions.
  • Arrange meetings with potential customers.
  • Gather market intelligence.
  • Lead the annual ETS marketing strategy.
  • Communicate all prospect and client activity to the Country Director and, as needed, to AMIDEAST Headquarters..
  • Communicate product or service issues, as related by prospective and existing clients, to the Country Director and AMIDEAST Headquarters.
  • Abide by all organizational pricing policies.
  • Submit a weekly sales summary to the Country Director and AMIDEAST Headquarters, outlining the previous week's business accomplishments and comparing them to the annual sales plan, summarizing the current month's expected accomplishments, and identifying areas needing upper management direction.
  • Ensure that HQ receives monthly statistics for various testing programs
  • Provide HQ with monthly ETS narrative report
  • Provide input to social media marketing campaigns.
  • Direct supervision of the Testing Supervisors and coordination with the Testing Departments of testing and sales staff.  Develop and maintain operational systems for efficient administration of sales, marketing and testing programs.
  • Expand the demand proactively for U.S. standardized tests as well as other ETS exams in UAE. 
  • Works with the English Language Manager to adopt an integrated approach of EL and Testing.
  • Provide a new testing and business model in view of the evolving UAE market needs.
  • Plan and Monitor all testing budgets.
  • Ensure team maintains relationships with various TOEIC and ITP clients and coordinate test dates in house and offsite. Ensure testing team provides quality testing services to all AMIDEAST
  • In coordination with the CD, liaise with ADEC, KHDA, Ministry of Education and other educational entities across UAE to create awareness and secure adoption of the CMD tests.
  • Provide and implement a marketing/sales strategy of CMD targets; TOEIC and TOEFL families.

·      Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree is highly preferable.

·      Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills

·      Precise attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure

·      Proficiency in the Microsoft Windows environment, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.




·         Experience in test center management
