The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government's flagship international educational and cultural exchange program, creating connections in a complex and changing world. On behalf of the U.S. Department of State, Amideast administers the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for the Middle East and North Africa. In the region, the program is managed by binational Fulbright commissions, U.S. embassies, and Amideast field offices. Currently, the program operates in eleven countries in the region and Amideast supports alumni activities in three countries where the current student program is currently inactive.
