Courses are graded on a 4.0 scale using the US letter grade system. Students are responsible for making sure their home institution is willing to grant credit for the program prior to enrolling. Each institution has a different credit transfer process and AMIDEAST staff will provide documentation and other information to help you complete the process at your institution.
Students enrolled in any AMIDEAST Education Abroad course are scored according to our AMIDEAST Grading Scale.
AMIDEAST Education Abroad issues an official grade report that documents letter grades and credit received. This grade report is sent to the student's university 4-8 weeks after the end of the program.
SCHOOL OF RECORD
Bard College Berlin serves as AMIDEAST’s School of Record (SOR) for Education Abroad programs. Bard College Berlin is a branch campus of Bard College and is overseen by Bard College’s Board of Trustees. As a branch campus of Bard College, Bard College Berlin holds accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the United States and is also recognized as a university by the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Science. As the SOR, Bard College Berlin reviews, documents, and awards credits for courses taken by AMIDEAST students. Students can request (for an additional fee) a transcript issued by AMIDEAST’s SOR. Students who have indicated this option will receive their transcript 8-10 weeks after the end of the program.
Al Akhawayn University Transcripts
Students attending the Al Akhawayn University Direct Enroll Program will receive an official transcript with credits received and letter grades directly from Al Akhawayn University. AMIDEAST will issue either a grade report or a School of Record transcript for the 1-credit orientation program. Students should contact AUI directly for any additional copies of their transcript.
