The Access Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State, offers two years of English language instruction and additional workshops that introduce the youth to American culture, community service, policy issues, and career enhancement resources.
The English language curriculum strengthens English speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills with additional extracurricular activities. Activities may include guest speakers in the class, field trips in their country for cultural activities (such as films, exhibitions, and concerts), and visits to different organizations.
Access students who excel may qualify for special Access enrichment programs or scholarships such as the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program.
