Job Title: Exchange Program Coordinator

Location: AMIDEAST Cairo office                          

 

 

Position Summary:

The Exchange Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the smooth implementation of the department programs and day-to-day activities.   Monitors and follows-up maintenance and update of all department files.  Establishes and increases relationships with partners and other AMIDEAST departments and branches.  Participates in searching and securing new opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively network and maintain relations with relative HQ staff, other Amideast Cairo and Alexandria department staff and different partners (Donors, educational institutions, NGOs…etc).
  • Monitor timely response of all email inquiries.
  • Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of all documents related to certification from and to CS.
  • Follow-up smooth flow of all internal and external documents in and out of the department.
  • Oversee all fee-for service activities (for example, certifications, summer camps, and internships) including proposing fees, budgeting costs, accurate management of all program details, and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to the development of  new exchange program concept papers and proposals that serve AMIDEAST’s mission, vision, and values for Egypt
  • Ensure that all department processes are efficient and effective
  • Identify and implement approaches to build on AMIDEAST’s current programs to develop institutional capacity and initiate new programs
  • Contribute to the Development and monitoring of budgets for all exchange programs.
  • Maintain collaborative relations and connections with other AMIDEAST departments (Education and Training, Testing, Customer Service)
  • Actively participate in strategic planning, goal setting and annual budget preparation
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely technical, statistical, and financial reports to partners, donors, and to AMIDEAST HQ
  • Ensure accurate management and monitoring of grant agreements
  • Coordinate with AMIDEAST HQ, AMIDEAST Alexandria, and other AMIDEAST Field Offices as needed
  • Conduct outreach activities including public speaking, media interviews and other opportunities to promote awareness of AMIDEAST programs
  • Actively network with local and international organizations and institutions involved in exchange programs and keep abreast of changes and developments in Egyptian public and private education at the highest levels to identify opportunities for AMIDEAST.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and with public- and private-sector educational institutions
  • Follow-up and monitor communication with all partners.
  • Ensures the effective implementation of all grant programs.
  • Promote awareness of Amideast programs through participating in different functions.
  • Delegate tasks and monitor specialist, assistant, interns and volunteers. 
  • Plan, develop, monitor and adjust (if required) program activities according to goals and specific objectives.
  • Facilitate and monitor implementation of department programs and activities according to set objectives.
  • Participate in setting and reviewing department strategies, goals and objectives.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

Required:

  • B.A. and five years of related project management experience
  • Native speaker level fluency in spoken and written English
  • Fluent in Arabic
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrative creativity and initiative
  • Ability to organize and maintain large amount of detailed information
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and accept responsibility
  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Office

 

 

            Preferred:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. or Canadian university
  • Graduate degree in Education, business, or other relevant field
  • Experience administering Egyptian and/or U.S. education and exchange activities
  • Managerial experience
  • Excellent written Arabic
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
