About Project Minaḥ

Financial obstacles are the greatest barrier to studying abroad that U.S. college students face. Community college students, who at any one time constitute more than 40% of U.S. undergraduates, generally constitute no more than 2% of those studying abroad, and fewer U.S. study abroad students travel to the Middle East and North Africa than to any other region of the world. 

Program Overview

The Community, Activism, and Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) Program is an 8-day guided program in Tunisia specifically for students of 2-year institutions and 2-year or similar non-baccalaureate degree programs at 4-year institutions. Participants will be introduced to the world of advocacy and civil society organizations in and around Tunis through daily presentations, panel discussions, engagement with local peers, tours, and community service.

American University in Dubai (AUD)

Students on this program will have the opportunity to directly enroll at AUD to participate in one or two summer sessions, which are each 7 weeks long. With ABET, AACSB, NAAB and numerous other accreditations, AUD's many schools and departments allow students from a wide variety of academic majors to engage their disciplines with professors and peers from around the world in a MENA region context. The American University in Dubai is patterned on the American model of higher education and classes are taught in English.

American University in Dubai (AUD)

Students on this program will have the opportunity to directly enroll at AUD and normally will take 12-17 credits per semester. With ABET, AACSB, NAAB and numerous other accreditations, AUD's many schools and departments allow students from a wide variety of academic majors to engage their disciplines with professors and peers from around the world in a MENA region context. The American University in Dubai is patterned on the American model of higher education and classes are taught in English.

OVERVIEW

Amideast Education Abroad Virtual Learning and Cultural Exchange Scholarships are available to students in the Virtual Learning and Cultural Exchange Program and are awarded in the form of a tuition reduction, a one-time bank transfer, equal on-site monthly cash payments, or any combination of the three options. They range as follows: 

• $500 to $5,000 for virtual programs

In exceptional circumstances, higher awards may be given.
