In a world that is increasingly complex and interconnected, youth in the MENA region and the United States alike need to develop the language skills, global perspectives, and cross-cultural understanding that will enable them to become engaged global citizens, empowered to make our common world a more hopeful place. With the support of governmental, educational, and private partners, we were pleased to provide opportunities during 2019 for 2,750 individuals to engage in international educational and cultural exchange — the best way we know of developing global citizens — while at the same time strengthening mutual understanding between the people of the MENA region and the United States.
