Academic Overview:

  • Colloquial Moroccan Arabic (3 credits) is required*
  • Modern Standard Arabic (5 credits) is recommended*

Elective Area Studies Courses (3 credits each)

  • Taught in English in a variety of disciplines including a Community-Based Learning Course
  • Recent courses have been drawn from art, history, political science, religion, and women's studies
  • Media Arabic (3 credits) is also available as an elective

*PLEASE NOTE: Starting fall 2019, Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Arabic will be taught as a combined course for 8 credits.
