Head of English Language Department
AMIDEAST U.A.E (www.amideast.org) is currently searching for a new Manager for our English Language Department. Tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead the development and implementation of an EL country strategy based on market trends and participant needs;
- Assist in the design and development of new EL programs and courses, including proposal developments;
- Arrange for and/or develop course descriptions, course outlines and materials for all EL courses;
- Maintain and update a resource library for EL course materials and supplementary materials for use by teaching staff;
- Plan training calendar for courses and special programs;
- Maintain a database of teachers with their professional profiles, experience, and qualifications to be used as needed;
- Coordinate and participate in recruitment, selection, hiring and management of EL teaching and support staff;
- Provide teachers with all necessary orientation sessions, training materials, and resources;
- Organize regular teacher staff meetings to discuss course- and program-related issues, concerns, logistical needs, etc.;
- Implement a teacher evaluation process, including through in-class observations and self-assessment methods;
- Develop and implement a professional development plan for EL teaching and support staff;
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor student assessment methods, tools, and reports in ongoing collaboration with teaching staff;
- Solicit participants’ training needs and suggestions on a regular basis and incorporate these into the planning process for EL courses;
- Contribute to regular evaluation reports on EL program progress and outcomes;
- Collaborate with marketing and sales for EL programs, as needed.
In addition, the EL Coordinator is willing to assist with and perform any other tasks that promote and support AMIDEAST EL program goals and objectives.
Requirements for Applicants

- Master's Degree in TESOL
- 5+ years experience in curriculum writing, proposal writing and management
- Sponsorship is on Husband's Visa
- Strong communication and writing skills (in English)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English (Fluency in Arabic a plus but not required)
