Teach in Tunisia

Opportunities throughout the year!

Where

AMIDEAST/Tunisia has locations in Tunis, as well as a center in Sousse, two short hours to the south.  Tunis is a cosmopolitan, Mediterranean capital city that has grown to a population of three million in the past five years and is known for its pleasant climate, close proximity to numerous historical sites such as legendary Carthage, its attractive mix of Arab and European cultures, and easy access to beautiful beaches and the Sahara Desert.  An added attraction is regular flights to most Arab and European countries.  Sousse, the third largest city in Tunisia, is also a major tourist hub and offers the same attractions for the Sahel region.

Our Classes

We offer small classes of up to sixteen students, mostly in the afternoons and evenings, to accommodate highly motivated adult professionals, university students, as well as primary and secondary school students. Core textbooks include the Cambridge University Press Interchange/New Interchange/Passages series, Market Leader Business Series, SuperGoal and Connect Series for Young Learners. General English courses are designed for fourteen proficiency levels and special, advanced ESP courses in Business Management, Banking, Legal, Aviation, Cabin Crew, and Medical English are offered upon demand.  TOEFL® and TOEIC® exam preperation classes are also offered each session.
In addition to regular public classes on-site, it is also possible to teach off-site classes for companies who request specialized courses for their employees.
Four 7-week regular sessions and four 4-week intensive teaching sessions are offered every year.  Each course includes 40 to 48 hours of instruction.

We are excited to be a part of this new phase in Tunisian history.  It is important now more than ever to promote AMIDEAST's mission to continuing the development of good relationships between the U.S. and Tunisia through our work.  We are committed to strengthening ties through programs like ACCESS (which provides EL classes and cultural activities for underprivileged youth), MOSAIQUE (which endeavors to upgrade the skills of young women to enable their entry into the workforce), as well as managing exchange programs such asYES and Fulbright.  We are seeking teachers who are just as committed to connecting with the Tunisian community as we are.
