English Language Program

The English Language Teaching (ELT) Program is AMIDEAST Tunisia's largest, most popular service. Over 900 students currently enroll in each of the 46 hour ELT sessions for adults and university students.

Special ELT sessions for young adults and children are offered at various times of the year. Many tailored courses are also developed and conducted for a growing number of organizations that require special ELT sessions for their employees, including Tunisian Airports Authority, the Merchant Marine, and many other public and private sector groups.

English Language Assessment

AMIDEAST administers the IBT TOEFL® examinations in Tunis and the ITP® (Institutional Testing Program) TOEFL® examinations in Sousse or the TOEIC® (Test of English for International Communication) and TFI™ (Test de Français International) in both Tunis and Sousse for schools, universities, businesses, and other organizations on demand. The TOEFL provides an accurate, inexpensive tool for institutions to assess the English level of students or employees and predict their TOEFL performance. The TOEIC is recognized as a worldwide standard to test English proficiency in international workplace environments.

English for Special Purposes

AMIDEAST's English for Special Purposes (ESP) programs have grown in response to demand for topic-related courses.  ESP courses aim to meet the needs of professionals who need to learn English for use in their specific fields, such as law, aviation, medicine, leisure, and academic learning.

Blended Learning Courses

In cooperation with the U.S.-based computer learning organization DynEd, AMIDEAST/Tunisia offers blended learning courses combining DynEd's software and in-class follow-up with an AMIDEAST teacher. Students use state-of-the-art computer software to cover the curriculum at their own pace. In addition to the software practice either in AMIDEAST’s computer lab or on your personal laptop at home, students attend four scheduled conversational class sessions over a two month period.
