Job Title: IT Coordinator

Position Summary:
The IT Coordinator is responsible for the reliable, smooth functioning of technology resources at AMIDEAST/Tunisia (both hardware and software, telephone and Internet systems, video surveillance systems) to facilitate the work of personnel and ensure as minimal disruption as possible to staff and clients.
Tunisia’s field office in Tunis and branch office in Sousse offer educational information and testing services to students and professionals, as well as scholarship and exchange program administration services to a variety of sponsors, and provides professional development services including management, English language and test preparation training services to individual and corporate clients and government agencies.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the IT Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:
- Install and maintain all AMIDEAST technology and troubleshoot issues
- Administer and maintain MS 2003 and 2008 Active Directory, MS Exchange 2007, and /Terminal Servers
- Administer and maintain Siemens phone system
- Identify and repair hardware problems and conduct preventative maintenance
- Work with local TELCO and ISP in updating and maintaining uninterrupted communications;
- Provide network access to all staff and teachers and update network lists
- Assist AMIDEAST users with hardware and software needs and issues
- Assist in training staff formally and informally on the use of business-related applications like MS Office, etc. and other computer skills;
- Monitor data communications network activity and diagnose problems
- Maintain and secure shared network drives and disk space on servers
- Perform daily server back-ups and restore data when problems occur to ensure data availability at all times.
- Help the Purchasing and Publicity Coordinator procure price offers for technology products and advise management on which products are appropriate for AMIDEAST’s needs
- Assist with demonstrations and site preparations, assist in changing computer locations, and assist electricians in determining necessary wiring changes
- Ensure administration, installation, and upgrade of the video surveillance server and cameras
- Provide support to AMIDEAST courses and tests delivered to clients internally and externally;
- Coordinate with vendors and/or AMIDEAST Regional IT staff to report/resolve problems
- Create IT Monthly report for IT department and communicate it to department heads and InfoTech in HQ;
- Assist in implementing IT policies and procedures;
- Contribute to creation and design of marketing materials for AMIDEAST.
- Install various software applications and provide orientation and support to customers
- Provide services and updates to Sousse field office
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Windows Servers’ Platforms;
- Proficiency in MS Exchange 2007 Email system;
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, editing and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team player;
- Ability to conduct research and systematic troubleshooting;
- Ability to organize and maintain large amount of detailed information;
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to write technical reports and conduct incident analysis;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, SharePoint;
- Proficiency in providing desktop support and applications troubleshooting;
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications
- Fluent in English, minimum TOEIC score of 550
- Motivated and dedicated
Preferred:
- At least 3 years of experience in similar position
- Microsoft Certifications: MCSE, MCSA
