Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program is a program funded through the U.S. Department of State and sponsored by the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA) to provide scholarships for Tunisian high school students (15-17 years old) to spend up to one academic year in the U.S.
Students live with host families, attend high school, engage in activities to learn about American society and values, acquire leadership skills, and help educate Americans about their country and culture. The YES program is a merit-based competition open to students who would not traditionally have access to American Secondary education and who exhibit academic excellence, leadership potential, and a desire to enhance relations between the United States and their home countries.
"YES” students will be able to attend public schools and participate in various activities
The “Kennedy Lugar YES” program not only introduces the American culture to students from all over the Arab World but also allows them to be ambassadors of their own countries.
