TOEIC popularity on the rise. "Companies are increasingly aware that unless their employees acquire English language skills, they can't survive," comments one official from the Institute for International Business Communication in Japan, where TOEIC has surged over past levels. Business English Sites of the Month. Nonprofit group TED, whose TED.com great speaker's site is already beloved by many business English instructors, has now created a new Web site, TED-Ed, organizing educational videos and allowing them to be "flipped" for teacher use.

ETS researchers are conducting a survey to improve their knowledge of what professionals assessing English for business or academic purposes really want.
