U.K. Visa? Take TOEIC Tests. The U.K. Border Agency recently approved TOEIC tests as a secure test of English proficiency for visa applicants. Anyone wishing to work, study, or settle in the United Kingdom may use the TOEIC® tests to demonstrate their English proficiency for all visas. 

Funny English mistakes. The English Whirled Wide Facebook page provides plenty of examples of what can go wrong when English writing skills aren't quite...right....

Business English site of the month. Your Business English is a fairly new British site, which among other features offers a free newsletter, teacher's corner, word of the day, writing section, review of typical English mistakes made by learners at different levels, and an office English section covering the most needed expressions "for desperate language learners who need English at the workplace but wish they didn't."  

Uncertainty about business English ability prevails. A recent GlobalEnglish survey of 26,000 international employees found 92% reporting that English was required or important for their job. Yet only 7% felt that their current English skills were sufficient. TOEIC testing can check whether your students are where they need to be, and help them gain confidence.
