What are the TOEIC tests?

The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) family of tests provide an objective, reliable measure of language skills as they are used in international business and for other workplace purposes.

Developed by ETS, the TOEIC tests provide a credential recognized by employers worldwide. They are taken by over 6 million individuals annually and used by 10,000 organizations in 120 countries.
 

  • The TOEIC Listening & Reading test is a paper-based test assessing English language skills. It is primarily designed for intermediate- to advanced-level English language learners.
     
  • The TOEIC Speaking & Reading test is a new Internet-based test, now also available in most countries in the Middle East/North Africa.
     
  • The TOEIC Bridge test is a paper-based test that gives a more precise measure of the English language skills of beginning- to intermediate-level learners.
     
  • The TFI test is a paper-based test assessing French skills for business and the workplace.
