TOEFL®: English for Academic Study

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is the most accepted English-language test in the world, used by over 8,000 institutions and agencies in 130 countries. AMIDEAST administers the TOEFL for the test's developer, ETS (Educational Testing Service), in many countries in the Middle East/North Africa.

Be sure to register early as test centers can fill quickly. Taking the TOEFL at least two to three months before your earliest application deadline is recommended.

TOEFL is most commonly provided in an Internet-based (iBT) format that tests reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for academic contexts. A paper-based TOEFL is administered on limited dates in locations where Internet service is not dependable.

How do I register to take the TOEFL?

You may register directly with ETS or for a small service fee you may register in person at many AMIDEAST offices. Registering through AMIDEAST allows you to pay using your own country's currency.
