GMAT® : Graduate Business/Management Study

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is used by many graduate-level business and management-related programs in the United States and internationally as part of their admissions process. The GMAT measures verbal, analytical, and quantitative skills. It includes multiple-choice questions as well as two analytical writing questions.

The GMAT is offered at Pearson VUE Test Centers, which include some but not all AMIDEAST centers. Copies can also be downloaded from the GMAT Web site, which contains the most up-to-date information on the test.

Where can I take the GMAT?

The GMAT exam is administered on computer in Pearson VUE Test Centers at locations around the world.

How do I prepare for the GMAT?

It is important for you to be familiar with the kinds of questions asked on the GMAT. There are several ways to prepare.

  • Visit the GMAT Web site. A free practice test and other information can be found there.
  • Purchase GMAT preparation materials and on-line sample tests from AMIDEAST, GMAT, or other publishers/resellers
  • Take a test preparation class. Some AMIDEAST centers offer such classes

What do I do on the day of the test?

  • Arrive at the assigned test center 30 minutes before the assigned test time. Check-in procedures take time. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted to the test, and you will forfeit your test fees.
  • Bring photobearing identification, as described the GMAT Web site.

Bring your test confirmation information.

What about my scores?

Unofficial scores will appear on the computer screen following the test and will be printed out for you by the test center administrator along with an authentication code that you will need to access your official scores. These official scores should be available within twenty days, and you and the institutions that you have designated to receive scores should receive notification by e-mail when they are available. You can also request that scores be mailed to you if you have difficulties accessing the Internet.

AMIDEAST does not have access to GMAT test scores.
