AMIDEAST is a preferred vendor in the United Arab Emirates for a new three-tier English proficiency assessment and training program created by the Educational Testing Service. Help your students achieve the real-life language skills they'll need wherever language is spoken. Choose the individual tools that meet your needs, or benefit from using all three:
AMIDEAST Yemen's newest offering, the ETC, provides students with worldwide Web access for a quick and easy means of locating information. Through the ETC, AMIDEAST provides skills workshops on Basic Internet Use, Basic MS Word Skills, and Resume and Statement of Purpose consultations.
Our Educational Technology Center also administers standardized Test Preparation Courses (TOEFL, GRE, SAT, and TOEIC), as well as English Language programs for Young Learners and Teens (ages 6 to 16). All AMIDEAST programs in Sana'a are specialized, sponsor-specific, and integrate computer and Web-based technology.
All visitors who do not have an e-mail account must attend a Computer/Internet Orientation Session, which can be scheduled at their convenience with an advising staff member.
Orientations cover basic computer use, Windows, and using the Web as well as establishing an e-mail account that may be accessed at any computer with Internet access.
Once visitors demonstrate computer competency, on each visit they must sign in at the front desk and leave a photo id (passport or identification card) with the receptionist. Visitors without id must pay a deposit equal to a full day's rental fees for Technology Center use.
