Advising Services

 AMIDEAST/Jordan provides accurate, comprehensive, current and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States. The Jordan office is part of the EducationUSA network of approximately 450 advising centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S. Department of State. AMIDEAST/Jordan follows EducationUSA ethical standards.

The AMIDEAST office maintains an extensive collection of materials on U.S.- accredited educational opportunities available for public use. The EducationUSA center also sponsors events including free introductory public information sessions on various aspects of U.S. education. Support is also available for U.S. graduates returning to Jordan.

Accredited U.S. institutions are welcome to participate in direct videoconferences on various aspects of U.S. study, and otherwise help those that the center serves to learn more about U.S. education.

They offer a chance for you to meet with admissions officers, ask questions about admissions requirements, and learn about program features such as area specializations, internships, study abroad, and financial aid opportunities. • Explaining U.S. accreditation procedures
• Introducing Lebanese academic institutions to appropriate U.S. accrediting bodies

We also provide services for graduates returning to Lebanon, including:

• Official confirmation of U.S. institutional or program accreditation
• Ordering official transcripts and official letters confirming the conferral of degrees from U.S. universities
• Resources on professional training opportunities in the United States and at home. 

The U.S. Department of State’s Educational Information and Resources Branch (ECA/A/S/A) supports a network of more than 450 EducationUSA advising centers that collectively respond to over 25 million requests annually. Located at US embassies, Fulbright Commissions, bi-national centers, non-governmental organizations, libraries, universities, and businesses, advising centers included in the network have agreed to operate according to established guidelines and ethical practice.

AMIDEAST/Oman offers a variety of personalized services to give you one-on-one assistance for your journey into higher education in the United States. Each service is customized for the client so that we can help you meet your goals. Before requesting the services below, students must attend a general session at the EducationUSA Advising Center.  AMIDEAST’s Educational adviser also offers free one-on-one guidance for students who are pursuing their own research and application process.
