Seminar for Excellence in Teaching

Seminar for Excellence in Teaching

SET is a two-part, 80-hour certificate program that exposes faculty to a variety of teaching approaches and key issues associated with course design. The goal is to encourage an understanding of the university teacher as a professional scholar ready to engage in teaching that is informed by research and discussion of models of good practice.  As of December 2010, 4 cohorts have completed both parts, and the 5th cohort just recently completed their training, which was administered by the SET Master Trainers, and will complete their second phase in February 2011.
