New SAT, GRE, GMAT and TOEFL preparation classes: deadline August 15. Classes are being offered for both males and females in Riyadh beginning in early September. Get the basics with our TOEFL and GRE webinars. Watch our Facebook page and Web site for dates of free Webinars, to begin ub mid-August. These online events will be given in both English and Arabic. An overview of the test and its various components will discussed and questions will be answered. Previous registration will be required.
New study shows English speakers in Middle East/North Africa earn up to three times more. A new research report that involved interviews with more than 2,000 young people in eight MENA countries found major salary differences in every location, with individuals who knew English earning substantially more than similarly skilled employees who did not. The report also found that despite government efforts to improve English instruction in schools, better quality teaching is still provided through outside training centers. Your best choice—AMIDEAST/Saudi Arabia will be establishing English classes soon.

Archived posts are categorized: there is a section on business writing with unusual but helpful information such as how to format business letters for U.S. audiences and U.K. audiences.
TOEIC versus TOEIC Bridge. Which is a better choice to give to beginning or intermediate English students? Learn the differences between the tests and decide which is right for your trainees or employees.

Teachers discuss improving Saudi English skills. As reported in the Saudi Gazette, a recent workshop held by the English Language Teaching Professional Network workshop in Jeddah focused on challenges including areas where more students needed preparation for the independent writing required by internationally recognized standardized tests such as TOEFL.
