On-Going need for Part-Time Male and Female EFL Teachers

We have an on-going need for suitably qualified and experienced part-time EFL teachers to teach in a variety of English programs, including TOEFL test-prep courses.  Teachers report directly to the Director of English Language Programs. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The key responsibilities of EFL teachers are to provide grammar, vocabulary and reading, writing, speaking and listening skills instruction to students of various levels.  TOEFL test-prep teachers will be required to teach test-taking strategies to help students perform better in the test.  Teacher will follow and use standardized course materials under the direction of the Director of English Programs and the Lead Instructor.  She/he is required to keep accurate records of student attendance and progress.


Instructors will have qualification directly relevant to ELF instruction.  Instructors will also have experience using educational technology in their work and have current or recent work experience as a teacher in Saudi Arabia. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in English, Linguistics, TESOL, TEFL or similar.  A CELTA or similar EFL qualification is preferred.
  • Experience teaching in an established college, university, institute, or government secondary school.
  •  Experience teaching EFL courses essential.
  •  Ability to develop and adapt classroom materials to meet students' needs.
  • Experience using computers and technology in classroom activities.

Candidates must be living in Riyadh.  Classes are likely to be in the evening.

Part-time teaching posts are compensated on an hours-worked basis, and include a transportation allowance for each session taught.
