ITP
Institutional Testing Program ITP TOEFL
(usually referred to as ITP), is designed
for intermediate and advanced students of
English. ITP is a multiple-choice test that
measure listening comprehension, structure
and written expression, and reading comprehension.
ITP test takes 115 minutes to complete.
AMIDEAST/Iraq maintains a supply of test
handbooks with information about the ITP.
Information on the exam content is also
available at the TOEFL
Web site.
AMIDEAST/Iraq administers the ITP TOEFL exam on a regular schedule in Erbil, Baghdad and Basra. Below is the ITP TOEFL Schedule for the current year:
AMIDEAST/Iraq ITP TOEFL Test Locations and Time:
ERBIL: University of Kurdistan in Hawler UKH on Erbil’s 30 Meter Street by Al-Sawaf Mosque, opposite Gilkand Family Park. Room number S16 on 2nd Floor
Registration starts at 10:30am, test begins at 11am, test ends approximately at 2:30pm, depending on the time required for registration.
BAGHDAD: Babel Hotel.
1st session: Arrive in lobby at 8:00am. Registration starts promptly at 8:30am (test room doors close at 8:30am sharp).Test begins at 9:00am. Test ends approximately at 12 noon, depending on the time required for registration. Please note that the actual time provided to take the ITP TOEFL is exactly the same for each test administration.
2nd session: Arrive in lobby at 12:30pm. Registration starts promptly at 1:00pm (test room doors close at 1:00pm sharp). Test begins at 1:30pm. Test ends approximately at 4:30pm, depending on the time required for registration. Please note that the actual time provided to take the ITP TOEFL is exactly the same for each test administration.
BASRA: University of Basra, Bab Al-Zubair Compound, in Institute of Live Languages
Registration starts at 8:30am, test begins at 9am, test ends approximately at 12noon, depending on the time required for registration.

REGISTRATION: Pre-registration for the ITP test is done online. To register for the ITP test:
Visit www.amideast.org from Offices click Iraq and then click Programs and Services and then select Testing Services. Then click on the yellow box labeled” Register for Current TOEIC and ITP administrations” and follow the steps. Or simply follow this link http://amideast.org/testregister/
Once you have completed the pre registration, you will receive a confirmation of your pre registration via e-mail.
It is important for you to be familiar
with the kinds of questions asked on ITP
exams. There are several ways to prepare.
- Visit the TOEFL website at www.toefl.org
- Do the sample questions in the ITP examinee
handbook and TOEFL bulletin
- Purchase TOEFL Preparation Materials
from AMIDEAST/Iraq. Please contact iraq@amideast.org
for more information.
Arrive at the testing site at least 30
minutes before the assigned time. Check-in
procedures take time. If you arrive late,
you may not be admitted to the test. Bring
photobearing identification.
Within two-three weeks of the test-date, test-takers
should receive an e-mail from AMIDEAST advising
them that their certificates are issued and
ready for pick up by the test-taker. Test-takers
will also be given information regarding where
and where to collect their ITP certificates.
ITP scores are for use by the administering
institutions only and no transcript service
is available. Individuals who wish to have score
reports sent to additional institutions or agencies
need to take the official International TOEFL
test. |
