Sleiman Sleiman, Steve Harmanlikian and Hisham Koteich speak with Ambassdor Jeffery Feltman
after the presentation.

the United States changed my view to the world and to all sorts of people. I love helping others now and I am more sensitive to others' needs. I feel I am an effective part of my community."

In addition to the alumni, featured speakers included the United States Ambassador Jeffery Feltman, the Director General of the Ministry of Education George Nehme, the AMIDEAST Country Director Barbara Batlouni and Mohamad Higazy, the father of current YES student Lamis Higazy. The event was attended by over 150 guests; including parents of alumni as well as current students, school principals from around the country, education and embassy officials and press representatives.

Alumnus Hisham Koteich has formed a tutoring club at his secondary school. He says his motivation comes from the experiences he had as a YES student: "Community Service helped me meet new people and build up my personality, and when I came back home, I wanted to share with my friends the experiences that I gained and in the same time help them out."
