The main focus of the Tunisian alumni club during this period was to raise money for people in both Lebanon and Gaza who were affected by the recent conflicts there. Hanen Keskes '06 commented on their efforts:

"The YES Alumni Club did a great job in raising money to help the people of Palestine and Lebanon. Some of the club members placed donation boxes outside the AMIDEAST Tunis office to raise funds. In addition, three bake sales were organized at Central Park. The money that the club raised was deposited in the special bank account, "3535", that was opened by the Tunisian government to help people who were impacted by the recent wars in Lebanon and Palestine. Although the money deposited in the government bank account is small compared to other donations, it represents a very good and encouraging start for the members of our club."
