Syrian Alumni after the Damascus Treasure Hunt.

Syrian Alumni organized a scavenger hunt in Damascus to help the English Access Microscholarship students to improve their English language skills. The students practiced their English by conversing with the YES alumni in English, as well as English-speaking tourists in the medina as they swept through the old city in search of clues. Hazen Torfah '04 had this to say about the experience: "The scavenger hunt was a lot of fun because it has taught me how to lead a group. It takes a lot of enthusiasm and charisma to be an effective group leader and I believe I have done a good job in this case."
